9.  FTP -File Transfer Protocol.  Procedure for file transfers.

10. GIF -Graphical interface format. One of the image formats used in web pages.

11. Home -Page that is usually a web site's starting point.

12. Hit -Refers to the downloading of a file over the internet.

13. HTML -Hyper Text Markup Language. Code used in a vast majority of web pages.

14. Hyperlink -Clicking these will bring you to a destination defined within the code of the "link".

15. Javascript -Programming language from Sun Microsystems.

16. JPEG -Joint Photographic format. Used on many web pages.

17. Link -Brings user to a defined place on the internet.

18. MP3 -Audio / Music Files.

19. PDF -Adobe Acrobat file type used commonly for printing.

20. Search Engine Optimization -Preparation of a site to be compatible with as many users and search engines as possible.

21. SEM -Search Engine Marketing acronym.

22. SEO -Acronym for Search Engine Optimization

23. Server -Computer that "serves" websites or email.

23. Spam -Sending people unsolicited email messages without their consent.

24. URL -Uniform Resource Locator. Also referred to as domain name.

25. Virus -Can cause harm to your computer. Oftentimes received and spread via email.

26. Vector Graphic -Graphic format that allows you to change dimensions of  vectors.
